Got this for my daughter to help her make YouTube videos and she's already filming. She loves it. It's full of all kinds of useful information. It's a thin book, but it's got lots of great tips, it's got colored illustrations that are helpful and it's easy to read. She's 11, and it's really helped her

This is a good book. My nine year old can follow it. Its good for kids because it teachers them a lot about what they need to plan that kids don't think about. Having a plot / script, what order will you need to film scenes, proper lighting, microphones, video editing software, etc.The only dissapointed thing I see is that it figures a lot on movie making / interviewing and my son wants to record gaming and himself gaming and show both at once. Although I've figured out how to do this, it doesn't explain to a kid how to use a video editing program to show two videos at once.

This was purchased for my son who has already been making videos for fun for a little while. I thought there would be some ideas or techniques he could apply to grow his channel. Unfortunately, he said there wasn't much in it he didn't already know so while so he while he appreciated the thought, he wasn't really impressed with the book. Maybe it's better for a true beginner. The seller did send the book in great condition and on time.

As an adult that knows nothing about making a YouTube video, I figured it best to start with the very basics. Good information about pre-planning, scripting, lighting and set up in this volume. The only disappointment was the free editing software for PC that it recommended, I found to no longer be supported by Microsoft. But no worries, If I actually film a video worth editing, I will deal with that at the time.

I often buy childrens books because they don't assume prior knowledge like a lot of adult books do. This one didn't help much with the technical stuff I was hoping for, but it's not a bad book if you're going to do those things for your kid. It's definitely for KIDS though, not for beginning adults.

This is "Modern Video 101" and simply done.More elementary kids are "making videos" and there are very few texts for grade school filmmakers.If you have a kid or grandkid interested in "making movies" - buy this.(From a former TV careerist here!)

My Grandson wanted to know how to make a You Tube Video so I bought this book. It was a great reference, but I read more then he did...that's not bad. It's good to know what these kids are getting into. A good book, probably a little advanced for a nine year old, but ok for this grandpa.

10 year old grandson wanted to create YouTube videos and this book has helped him do just that. Very glad I found this so he can follow his dreams.
